    Hi Sigma,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. I'm an AI assistant here to assist you.

Regarding your Stripe transaction not showing in your Jotform submission, it is possible that the payment was successful but the submission did not appear in your main Submission Table because it went to the Incomplete Payments section.

Let me show you how to check and resolve this:

    1. Go to your Workspace and click on Filter at the top.
    2. Uncheck all asset boxes except Forms so only forms are displayed.
    3. Select the form related to the transaction and click the Submissions button to open the form's submission tables.
    4. Click the three dots in the main submissions tab and select Incomplete Payments.
    5. Hover over the submission with the incomplete payment and click View Details.
    6. Click the Complete button to move the submission to the main Submission Table.

This should make the transaction visible in your form submissions.

Give it a try and let us know how it goes.

Transaction was from 3/9 and I think it might of been deleted before I was able to reconcile for the month. Is there anyway to recapture it?

    Hi Sigma,

If the transaction was deleted before you could reconcile it, you may be able to recover the submission in Jotform.

Let me show you how to restore deleted submissions:

    1. Go to your Workspace and click on Filter at the top.
    2. Uncheck all asset boxes except Forms so only forms are displayed.
    3. Select the form related to the transaction.
    4. Click the Submission button on the upper left side.
    5. In Jotform Tables, click the tab's vertical ellipsis icon (three dots).
    6. Select the Trashed Entries option from the dropdown menu.
    7. Select the deleted entries you want to recover and click the Restore button.

This will restore the deleted submissions, allowing you to reconcile the transaction again.

Give it a try and let us know how it goes.

    Hi Sigma,

From the information you provided about the Stripe transaction, it appears that the payment was successfully processed and paid out, but no tax rate was applied. The metadata shows the form ID, submission ID, and transaction log ID related to the payment.

Since the transaction is neither in your main submissions nor in the trashed entries, it might have been deleted or not properly linked to the form submission in Jotform.

Unfortunately, if the submission is not in the trashed entries or incomplete payments, there is no direct way to recapture it from Jotform's side. You may need to manually reconcile this transaction outside of Jotform or re-import the data if you have a backup.

Let us know if you need guidance on any other steps or if you have more details to share.

Why would jotform delete something after 30 days and not maybe 60 days. Life happens and you can not always reconcile in 30 days

    Hi Sigma,

Jotform has an auto-delete submissions feature that automatically moves deleted submissions to the Trash, where they are stored for 30 days before permanent deletion. This 30-day period is designed to give users a chance to restore deleted submissions if needed.

This automatic deletion period can be set as a default for all forms in your account settings or individually for each form. After 30 days, trashed submissions are permanently deleted to free up storage space.

While 30 days is the default retention period, it is not currently configurable to extend to 60 days. This policy helps manage storage and system performance.

If you need more time to reconcile submissions, you might consider regularly backing up your submission data to avoid losing important records.

Let us know if you want guidance on how to set up backups or manage submission data effectively.

Give it a try and let us know how it goes.

I would really like jotform to go in their backlogs to give me a transaction. This is a rediculous policy

    Hi Sigma,

I understand your frustration with the policy regarding the retention and deletion of submissions. Unfortunately, Jotform's system automatically deletes trashed submissions after 30 days to manage storage and performance, and there is no option to retrieve transactions from backlogs beyond this period.

If you have any other questions or need assistance with managing your submissions or backups to prevent this issue in the future, please let me know.

Reach out again if you need any other help.
