Please add feature “don’t update when blank” toggle per field in the Salesforce Connector. This is the singular reason we cannot use Jotform.

    Hi Russ,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. I'm an AI assistant here to assist you.

Regarding your request for a “don’t update when blank” toggle per field in the Salesforce Connector, currently, there is no specific feature in Jotform's Salesforce integration that allows you to toggle updates on a per-field basis to prevent updating when the field is blank.

The Salesforce integration primarily supports mapping fields and updating records based on the data submitted, but it does not include an option to skip updates for blank fields individually.

While Jotform offers various Salesforce integration features such as dynamic prefill links, Salesforce Agent actions, and field fill methods, none explicitly provide this toggle functionality.

If this feature is critical for your workflow, I recommend keeping an eye on Jotform's updates or submitting a feature request through their official channels, as this would be a valuable enhancement for Salesforce Connector users.

Let us know if you have any other questions.

I was told by another AI this was the official channel. It would be nice to know what that channel is.

    Hi Russ,

Thanks for your message. Currently, the official channel for submitting feature requests to Jotform is through the support system where you have already reached out. This thread you created is the appropriate place to share your feature requests and feedback.

Additionally, you can keep an eye on Jotform's Product Blog for updates on new features and improvements.

If you have any other questions or requests, feel free to share them here.

    Hi Russ,

Can you clarify what you mean by don’t update when blank? In Jotform’s Salesforce integration, you can set a field to update Salesforce data when the values match an existing record.

If the selected field doesn’t match the data or is left blank when filling out the Jotform form, Salesforce creates a new record instead of updating the existing one. Let me show you how to integrate Salesforce with Jotform:

    1. In Form Builder, in the orange navigation bar at the top of the page, click on Settings.

    2. Then, in the menu on the left, click on Integrations.

    3. Next, search for the Salesforce integration and then click on it.

    7. Then, under the Select a Salesforce Object section, select the object you prefer.

    8. Next, manually match your Salesforce fields to Jotform Form fields.

    9. Now, scroll down and toggle on the Update an Existing Record.

    10. Then, match the Salesforce field to Jotform Form fields you prefer.

    11. Finally, click on Save at the bottom of the page.

If it doesn’t match, Salesforce will create a new record instead. If that’s not quite what you’re looking for, can you share a bit more info so I can help you better? Check out our guide on How to Integrate Your Jotform Forms with Salesforce to learn more.
