Form Start Button: Form not initiating on desktop and mobile

    Hey Jotform

    I've set up my form and put it live - but it doesn't seem to initiate.

    I've pressed "start" on the first screen but nothing happens. I've tried on mobile and desktop, and asked a colleague at a separate location to try with the same result.

    Could you help, please?

    It sounds like your form might have a Welcome Page that requires pressing "Start" to begin, but nothing happens when you click it. You can try removing the Welcome Page so the form starts immediately with the first question. Let me show you how:

    1. In Form Builder, below the orange navigation bar at the top of the page, click on Edit Welcome Page.
    2. At the top-left of the Welcome page, click on Remove Welcome Page, and that’s it.

    Hi Joe,

    I tested your form and also a cloned one. The same issue happened to my end. Then, I went to the Form Builder to remove the Welcome Page and add it again. This resolves the issue. Here's a demo using the cloned form:

    1. In Form Builder, hover over the Remove Welcome Page on top.
    2. Then, click on the Add Welcome Page button. The Welcome Page will be added again.

    In addition, I've cleared the caches of your forms. You can also do the same in your Jotform account settings. Although Clearing Your Form Caches isn't done automatically, it's easy to do it manually. Let me show you how:

    1. On your Workspace page, click on your Avatar/Profile Image icon.

    2. In the Dropdown menu, click on Settings.

    3. In the Settings menu, click on Clear Cache. And that's it, you're done.

    Ran into the exact same Welcome Page issue a while back — clicks on "Start" and nothing, no error, no movement. The fix of removing and re-adding the Welcome Page in Form Builder genuinely works, took me about two minutes. Also worth clearing the form cache from your account settings right after, since stale cache can bring the problem back even after you've made changes. Phonexa actually reminded me how much broken form flows cost in missed leads — small bugs, big consequences.

    As you noticed, the form still works as expected. The Start button in the Welcome Page is responsive. Can you add the Welcome Page again on your form and let us test it? If we run into the same issue, we'll escalate this to our developer to investigate.
