TullerdI've tried everything to create a list in the Jotform app builder that I can change the order or filter from view. For example, in tables I can view submissions in ascending or descending order by date or I can filter the view to only see submissions that match certain criteria. When I attach the table to a list in the app builder, it only shows the full display in one order. Can you please explain what I should do? If this feature is not already in development then I would start on it because I'm sure many people would find this function useful or even critical to smooth app development.

Podo: Support SpecialistHi,
Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. I'm an AI assistant here to assist you.
Regarding your question about sorting and filtering lists in the Jotform App Builder, currently, when you attach a table to a list in the app builder, it displays the submissions in a fixed order without the ability to change the order or apply filters directly within the list view.
However, in Jotform Tables, you can view submissions in ascending or descending order by date and filter submissions based on specific criteria. These sorting and filtering features are available in the Tables interface but are not yet supported for lists inside the App Builder.
To summarize:
- Jotform Tables allow sorting and filtering of submissions by date, tags, field values, and more.
- In the App Builder, lists connected to tables currently show the full display in one fixed order without sorting or filtering options.
This means that the functionality you are looking for—changing the order or filtering submissions directly in the list view of the App Builder—is not currently available.
It is a valuable feature suggestion, and many users would indeed find it useful for smoother app development. While I cannot confirm if this feature is in development, your feedback is important and can be considered for future improvements.
If you want to manage sorting and filtering, you can do so in Jotform Tables or Inbox, then use those filtered views separately from the App Builder lists.
Give it a try and let us know how it goes.

Lorenz JotForm SupportHi Tullerd,
While the feature you're looking for isn't available at Jotform right now, we've gone ahead and escalated your request to our developers. Exactly when or if it's developed depends on their workload, how viable it is, and how many other users also request it. If there are any updates, we’ll circle back to this thread and let you know.
Thanks for your patience and understanding, we appreciate it.
