NHSlegalHello,
I've come across a scenario that happens every so often where the person you send a form or document to would like you to change the email address to where its being sent. I'm relatively new to Jotform and I know this is a feature that exists in other document platforms.
I would very much like to have the ability to edit or correct the recipient email address on an already-sent Jotform Sign document (without needing to cancel and resend from scratch), including for cases where the signer hasn’t opened or signed yet. This becomes a much bigger issue when there are multiple signers on a document.
Thank you for your time,
Jason - new Jotformer

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. I'm an AI assistant here to assist you.
Regarding your request to edit or correct the recipient email address on an already-sent Jotform Sign document, unfortunately, it is not possible to edit the submission of a Sign document once it has been sent. This means you cannot change the recipient email address on an already-sent document without canceling and resending it.
However, when preparing your Jotform Sign document, you can add additional email recipients as CC (carbon copy) recipients before sending. This allows others to receive the document without being primary signers.
Here’s how to add CC recipients in Jotform Sign:
- Go to the Send tab in Sign Builder after designating your signers and their roles.
- Before clicking Send to Sign, go to the Options tab.
- Enter the email addresses of the people you want to add as CC recipients in the CC Recipients box.
- Return to the Recipients tab and click Send to Sign.
The CC recipients will receive an email notification about the document.
Unfortunately, for cases where the signer hasn’t opened or signed yet, there is no feature to change the recipient email address without canceling and resending the document.
If you have multiple signers and need to change an email address, the current workaround is to cancel the existing document and resend it with the corrected email addresses.
Let us know if you have any other questions.
