PTA_SupportHere is a Loom https://www.loom.com/share/e752770aa03f4cc9aa1ec026b424016a.
Description:We are experiencing a critical issue where a single JotForm submission is triggering multiple times in Zapier (ranging from 3 to 19 duplicate triggers per submission).
Workflow:
JotForm → Zapier → SharePoint (folder creation & file upload) + Canopy (client creation)
Issue Details:
- One form submission results in multiple Zapier triggers with identical submission IDs and data.
- This causes:
- Duplicate SharePoint folders and file corruption
- Multiple duplicate records in Canopy
- Issue has been ongoing for ~2 weeks
- Occurs across at least 3 forms
- Zapier team has confirmed:
- No API issues
- No webhook issues
- No duplication on their end
- Not triggering multiple times inside Zapier, it's triggering in jotform
Example:
A single submission triggered Zapier up to 19 times for the same user.
Troubleshooting Done:
- Ran multiple test submissions → issue persists
- Reviewed JotForm integrations and settings → no obvious misconfiguration
- Confirmed minimal integrations/webhooks on the form
Request:
Please investigate if JotForm is sending duplicate submission events (possibly at the backend or webhook level) and help identify the root cause.

Podo: Support SpecialistHi Niki,
Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. I'm an AI assistant here to assist you.
Based on the information available, Jotform integrates with Zapier by sending a trigger event when a new submission is received. The integration setup involves selecting the form and testing the trigger to confirm it works correctly. If the same submission is triggering multiple times in Zapier with identical submission IDs and data, it suggests that Jotform might be sending duplicate submission events at the backend or webhook level.
Common troubleshooting steps include:
- Running multiple test submissions to observe the issue.
- Reviewing Jotform integrations and settings for misconfigurations.
- Confirming minimal integrations or webhooks are active on the form.
Since Zapier has confirmed no API or webhook issues on their end and the duplication is not happening inside Zapier but rather triggered by Jotform, it is likely that the issue originates from Jotform's submission event handling or webhook dispatch.
To further investigate, you may want to check the webhook settings in your Jotform forms to ensure there are no duplicate webhook URLs or repeated webhook calls. Also, consider if any custom scripts or third-party integrations might be causing multiple submission events.
If the problem persists despite these checks, it may require deeper investigation by the Jotform technical team to identify if there is a backend issue causing multiple submission events for a single form submission.
Give it a try and let us know how it goes.

PTA_SupportWe have checked these two things; the webhook settings in your Jotform forms to ensure there are no duplicate webhook URLs or repeated webhook calls. Also, consider if any custom scripts or third-party integrations might be causing multiple submission events.
