cwimacommunicationshello, is there a way to create a qr code to be generated after people register for event so tbat we can check them in faster? Here is the form as an example for Dallas
-
Podo: Support SpecialistYes, you can use QR codes with your Jotform event registrations to speed up check-in, but there are two different use cases:
- QR code to open the registration form (for people to register)
If you just want a QR code that opens your Dallas registration form so people can register:
- Go to your form in Form Builder.
- Click Publish in the orange bar at the top.
- Under the Share Form section, click QR Code.
- Click Download to save the QR image and print or share it.
You can also see more options in this guide: Generate QR Code to Share Your Forms/Assets.
- QR code per registrant (for faster check-in)
If you want each registrant to get their own QR code that you scan at the door, you’ll need to add QR-related widgets to your workflow:
-
To show a scannable QR code on the form or in emails (for example, containing a unique ID or edit link):
- In Form Builder, click Add Element on the left.
- Go to the Widgets tab.
- Search for QR Code or Dynamic QR Code, then drag it into your form.
- Configure it to display the text/URL you want (e.g., a unique submission ID, registration ID, or a special check-in URL).
- Full setup steps are here: Add Scannable QR Code on Your Form.
-
To scan QR codes at check-in using a Jotform form:
- Create a separate Check-In form.
- In that form, click Add Element → Widgets.
- Search for QR Code Reader and drag it into the form.
- Use the scanned value (e.g., registration ID) to look up or log the attendee.
- Full steps are here: Add QR Code Reader Widget to Your Form.
- QR codes for other assets (website, PDF tickets, etc.)
If you want to generate QR codes for a website, social media, or PDF ticket file, you can use our standalone tool:
- Go to Generate QR Code for URLs, Websites or Files (Doc, PDF etc).
- Paste your URL or upload your file.
- Choose your design and logo options.
- Click Generate QR Code, then Download.
To tailor this to your Dallas form specifically, can you tell me:
- Do you want each attendee to receive a unique QR code in their confirmation email?
- Or do you mainly want a single QR code that opens the registration form or a check-in form?
- QR code to open the registration form (for people to register)

Reymae JotForm SupportHi cwimacommunications,
Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. You can easily add a Dynamic QR Code widget to your form that generates a QR Code that is unique for each submission. Let me show you how:
- In Form Builder, click on Add Element on the left side of the page.
- Go to the Widgets tab, scroll down the list and choose the Dynamic QR Code widget.
- Then, just drag and drop it to your form.
- Now, add the Field Label of the data you want to encode in the QR Code and click the Update button.
