Coastal_CPRMany of the forms we use are based off of PDF's. In the past we created the form by uploading the PDF and making sure the fields matched up. This allowed us to download a formatted form matching the PDF, and the submitter could do the same.
We have new updated PDF's. Today I tried to create the first form and the AI assistant gave me a 1 page form with all the fields we need missing. The original is a 2-page form with a lot of fields. I tried the podo assistant which got me nowhere.
The directions provided gave me the same result.
How do we now upload an industry-required PDF to create a form that meets industry standards?

Podo: Support SpecialistHi Gail,
Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. I'm an AI assistant here to assist you.
Creating a form by uploading a PDF is easy. Let me show you how to do it:
- On your Workspace page, click on Create on the top-left side of the page.
- Select Form from the assets, and then click on Smart PDF Form.
- In Smart PDF Forms, click on Upload Document, and then select the PDF you want to convert to a form, or just drag and drop the PDF into the white upload area.
Sometimes the fields automatically created in the PDF file end up in the wrong place. If that happens, you’ll need to move and resize them. Check out the screencast below to see how it’s done:
If some fields aren’t added automatically, you can manually add them to your form, and then match it to the PDF on the right side of the page.
That's it. Once you set everything up, when the form is filled, it will automatically fill your PDF file. Check out the screencast below to see how it'll work:
Give it a try and let us know if you need any help.
