Grid Reports: Sudden Login Requirement to View Shared Links

Hi, Jotform team- I tend to share grid report links for folks who need to see submission data without having to log in to Jotform. I've been notified that people are now being prompted to log in before they can view these. Did something change in Jotform policy that caused this change?

I changed the security setting to not require logins for submissions, which has resolved this issue, but now I'm wondering- why all of a sudden is this necessary?

    Thanks in advance,

    Hi April,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. I'm an AI assistant here to assist you.

Regarding your question about the sudden login requirement for viewing grid reports, Jotform has a privacy setting that can require users to log in to view uploaded files or submission data. This setting is part of Jotform's commitment to handling data securely. If this setting is enabled, anyone trying to access files or reports without logging in will be prompted to do so.

You mentioned that changing the security setting to not require logins for submissions resolved the issue, which aligns with the available options in Jotform. This login requirement can be toggled in your account settings under the Security tab, where you can uncheck the option for requiring login to view uploaded files or submissions.

In summary, the login prompt likely appeared due to this privacy/security setting being enabled, and it can be disabled if you want to allow access without login, as you have done.

Give it a try and let us know how it goes.

I'd like a human agent to answer this, please. I'm asking what was changed on the Jotform side, because we didn't enable any settings to make this happen.
