Hey, I am looking for a solution where my form submission is coming empty if the client has skipped the question.
-
Lorenz JotForm SupportHi there,
Thanks for reaching out to us for help. Can you explain a bit more about the issue? Keep in mind that, questions that are skipped will normally return an empty data. If that's not what the issue is about, you can share with us a screenshot of the error message you're getting so we can better understand what's going on. Let me show you how to post a screenshot to our Help Center:
1. On the Help Center page, scroll down to the Your Answer section and click on the Image icon.
2. Drag and drop your image into the Upload box, or click on it and select your file.
3. Then, click on the Add button in the bottom-right corner of the window.
4. To resize it, click on your screenshot and then click on one of the boxes in the corners, and drag it inward.
5. Once you're finished, click on the Post Answer button at the bottom right of the Your Answer section.
That's it. Once we hear back from you, we'll be able to help you with this. -
akotnalaSo we are using the Checklist widget in the form in multiple places.
There are 2 pages in both pages there are "checklist widget". On the Second page, the widget looks different due to CSS.
PROBLEM 1:
I have kept the "checklist widget" in 1st page to be required, and it works.
On the 2nd page i had to remove the required field, ad it is giving an error even after the fields are selected.
PROBLEM 2:
The Submission form in the email that we see should have all the values even if the user has skipped the question.
But it is coming empty. It should be like this:

Kyle JotForm SupportHello akotnala,
Required fields will always show an error if left empty, so ensure the Required option is disabled on the second page. I cleared your form’s cache to help refresh the data. Can you try it again and see how it goes? For submission emails, non-required fields are skipped by default, which is why they appear empty.
Try that and reach out again if you need more help.

akotnalaHi,
As suggested, when a field is not required, and the customer leaves it blank, it does not appear in the email we receive with the submitted answers.
The issue is that for those answers to appear and be completed by the customer, we would need to make the fields required. However, even when the answers are filled in, the form still says the "field is required", that means it is considering it to be empty, and does not allow submission.
What can we do in this case? Thank you

Bojan Support Team LeadHi akotnala,
I tested your form and had the same issue, so I created a ticket and escalated this to our Developers. Although we don't know exactly when it'll be fixed, we’ll circle back to this thread when we have an update.
