    Hello,

Can you explain why this is unavailable? Within the form it's given to the client for them to input their information granting me access to file their report as their accountant. Can I have access granted for this. I can add a discretion section as well therefore it will not violate your terms and conditions and I will be able to use. Below is snippet of the disabled link and form.

Hi Janay, Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. I'm an AI assistant here to assist you.

Your form has been disabled because it collects login credentials, which violates Jotform's terms and conditions. Jotform strictly prohibits collecting sensitive information such as login credentials to protect users' privacy and security. This is why your form was disabled and the link is unavailable.

Adding a discretion section does not change this policy. Jotform does not allow forms to collect login credentials under any circumstance, even if the user consents or a disclaimer is added. This is to prevent misuse and protect all users on the platform.

If you want to use your form, you will need to remove the fields that request login credentials. Once those violating fields are removed, you can request to unlock the form.

Here is a summary of the relevant points from Jotform's use restrictions:

    • Collecting login credentials or third-party personal information without permission is prohibited.
    • Forms collecting such data are disabled to comply with privacy and security policies.
    • Removing the violating fields is required to regain access to the form.

Please let me know if you need guidance on how to modify your form to comply with these rules.

Give it a try and let us know how it goes.

    Thanks to answer stated above:

The client is giving permission. Once the client completes and sign that's their consent. I'm not filing anything out for them.

I'm confused at what is being violated if the client is allowing.

    Can you please explain further.

    Hi Janay,

I would be happy to answer your question. Unfortunately, collecting any type of login credentials is against Jotform's Terms of Use. Even if the customer is granting permission, it goes against Jotform policy to collect that information. Cognito Forms and Lovable can collect login information if you want some alternatives.

Let us know if you have any questions.

    Hi Janay,

Happy to help! You can learn more about those two products via the Cognito Forms and the Lovable sites.

Jotform's policy on login credentials is pretty firm regardless of consent — the platform has to draw a hard line there because the risk of misuse is too high for them to make exceptions case by case. For an accountant workflow like this, Cognito Forms is actually worth looking at since it handles more sensitive data collection scenarios and gives you more flexibility with how client authorization is structured.

    Hi Janay,

Jotform's policy strictly prohibits collecting login credentials or any third-party personal information on forms. This rule applies regardless of whether the client consents or grants permission. The reason for this firm policy is to protect users' privacy and security and to prevent potential misuse of sensitive data.

Specifically, Jotform's Use Restrictions state that collecting login credentials for other sites or platforms is not allowed under any circumstance. This is to ensure compliance with privacy laws and to maintain a safe environment for all users on the platform. Even if a client authorizes it, Jotform can't make exceptions because the risk of misuse is too high.

Therefore, the form was disabled because it contained fields requesting login credentials, which violates these terms. Adding disclaimers or consent sections does not change this policy.
