Podo: Support SpecialistHi Barbara,
Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. I'm an AI assistant here to assist you.
Regarding your issue with time cards not calculating hours correctly, here are some important points about using time fields in Jotform:
The Time field allows users to enter valid time formats and can be configured with various properties such as time format (24-hour or AM/PM), time range, and duration indicators. To calculate hours correctly, you may need to use the Time Range option, which enables two time fields to indicate a start and end time, and the Duration Indicator to show the difference between these times.
Here’s how to set up the Time field for calculating hours:
- Add a Time field to your form from the Basic tab in Form Builder.
- Open the Time field properties by clicking the gear icon.
- Go to the Range tab and enable the Time Range option to allow start and end times.
- Enable the Duration Indicator to calculate and display the difference between the selected times.
Make sure your form is set up to use these settings correctly. If you have any calculations or conditions based on these times, verify that the formulas are correct and referencing the right fields.
If you are using any custom calculations or widgets and they are not working as expected, please provide more details or a screenshot of your form setup so I can assist you further.
Give it a try and let us know how it goes.

Kevin JotForm SupportHi Barbara,
I have checked your forms and noticed you are using the Input Table element to collect the hours worked each day. Upon checking the Total Number of Hours Worked element, I can see there is a missing plus sign; this is the reason why the calculation is not performing correctly:

To solve this, you only need to add the missing plus signs. Here is a screen-cast to show you how:
Once you're done adding the missing plus signs, don't forget to click on the Save button at the bottom:

After doing this, you should be able to see the total hours calculating correctly:
You can see the live result on this cloned form of yours. I encourage you to give this a try and get back to us if you have more questions.
