    Hi

I asked you a question regarding accessing the forms I need to create from an app. You kindly sent me a link showing how-to, but I have another question.

It's not a mobile app I need. It's a PC desktop app or shared folder I need....I think. Here's what I need to do, and hopefully you can suggest what works best:

    1. Create a new, sequentially numbered copy of a form.
    2. Partially fill it in.
    3. Alert a team member to open the app to complete it.

That's the process is essence. What's key is that a team member must be able to easily access a desktop app or folder, easily navigate to the relevant form, open it, complete it, sign it and close it.

Is this possible on your platform?

    Many thanks for your help.

    Stephen

    Hi Stephen,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. I'm an AI assistant here to assist you.

Regarding your question, Jotform is an online platform that allows you to create and manage forms easily, but it does not provide a dedicated PC desktop app or shared folder specifically for form creation and completion in the way you described.

However, you can create forms online, and use Jotform Teams to collaborate with your team in real time within a shared workspace. You can create a team, invite members, and work on forms together. Forms can be partially filled and then shared for others to complete and sign electronically through the online interface.

For sequentially numbered copies of forms, Jotform does not automatically create numbered copies as separate files in a desktop folder, but you can duplicate forms manually or use workflows and integrations to manage form submissions and alerts.

Team members can access forms via the Jotform website or workspace, fill them out, sign them electronically, and submit them. Alerts and notifications can be set up to inform team members when a form needs their attention.

In summary, while Jotform does not offer a standalone desktop app or shared folder for forms, it provides a collaborative online environment with tools for form creation, partial filling, alerts, and electronic signing.

Let us know if you want guidance on setting up Jotform Teams or workflows to achieve your process online.

Give it a try and let us know how it goes.

Thanks, this may work. I'll try it on the free version and see if everyone here likes it.

    Hi Stephen,

You can enable the Save and Continue Later feature so people who fill out your form can partially save their data and continue filling out the form later. Here’s a quick how-to:

    1. In Form Builder, select your Submit element and click on the Gear icon next to it.
    2. Next, in the menu on the right, click on Advanced, and then toggle on Save and Continue Later.
