    Hi there

We are using Jotform as a registration tool for our camp. I currently have payment set up to purchase a product (camp registration) through Stripe. I need to allow parents to choose if they would like to pay in full all at once or pay in installments. Is there a way I can give them that choice and which processor should I use to do that?

    Hi Milina,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. I'm an AI assistant here to assist you.

You can allow parents to choose between paying in full or paying in installments by setting up your form with payment options that offer this choice. While Jotform's Stripe integration supports selling products with one-time payments, it also supports subscriptions, which can be used to set up installment payments.

    Here’s how to do it:

    1. Add the Stripe Checkout payment element to your form from the Payments tab in the Form Builder.
    2. Set up two payment options in your form, for example, a product for full payment and a subscription for installment payments.
    3. Use conditional logic or a dropdown field to let parents select their preferred payment method (full or installments), and show the corresponding payment field based on their choice.

Stripe Checkout supports both one-time payments and subscriptions, so you can use it to handle installment payments by setting up a subscription plan with Stripe and linking it to your form.

This way, parents can choose to pay the full amount at once or opt for installments through a subscription.

If you want to enable alternative payment methods like Apple Pay or Google Pay, Stripe Checkout supports those as well, but they will appear only if the user has them set up on their device.

Let me know if you want detailed steps on setting up the conditional logic or subscription plans in Stripe.

Give it a try and let us know how it goes.

I've tried this and it didn't work. Is there a human that could answer?

    Hi Lindsey,

Currently, it is not possible to give the parents the option to pay in full, in 2 installments, or monthly in the same payment integration. What you can do is have 3 separate forms and add those forms to an App so parents can easily choose which payment plan to pick. You can refer to our guide here to set up the forms to accept full payments, installments, and monthly subscriptions. Once that's done, here's how to add them in the App:

    1. In My Workspace, click on the Create button on the upper left, select App and click on Start from scratch to create a new App.
    2. In the App Builder page, click on the Add Element menu on the left side of the page and click on the Form element.
    3. In the pop-up window that shows, select the three forms and click Add Forms.

And that's it. We also have a guide on How to Create a Jotform App that you can check. With this, you can Share your Jotform App with the parents and can easily pick a payment plan they want.

Give it a try and let us know if you need any help.
