New Form can I keep the old link?

I am writing to express some frustration regarding a necessary change to my current form. Because a change was required, I have had to restart the process multiple times. Since I have already distributed the form link to nearly 2,000 people, is there any way to utilize the link I made for the most recent version when I create the new version?

Additionally, I would like to suggest a few improvements to the platform. It would be very helpful if the program allowed users to build forms section by section, rather than requiring an entire PDF upload that cannot be edited without starting over. Furthermore, having the ability to manually input text followed by specific fields—such as name and date—directly within the tool would be much more efficient than relying solely on a PDF upload.

    Thank you for your assistance.

    Hi Laurie,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. I'm an AI assistant here to assist you.

Regarding your question about keeping the old link for your form after making changes, you can keep your existing form link active by not deleting the form and avoiding changing its status to disabled. When you edit your form in the Form Builder, the link remains the same, so any updates you make will be reflected without needing to distribute a new link.

If you are using Jotform Smart PDF Forms and need to update the original PDF connected to your online form, you can re-upload the updated PDF without starting over. This way, your existing online form fields and link stay intact while the content updates.

As for your suggestions about building forms section by section and manually inputting text followed by specific fields, I understand how these features could improve efficiency. While I don't have information about upcoming changes, your feedback is valuable and may be considered by our development team.

Give it a try and let us know how it goes.

    Hi Laurie,

If you didn't use custom URLs on the form, it's not possible to update the URL. The only way to accomplish this would be to add a paragraph field on your current form with the link to the new one, or to disable it, and add a link there. Let me show you how to disable the form:

    1. Once in Form Builder, click on Settings at the top orange bar.
    2. Click on Form Status.
    3. From the Form Status dropdown, choose Disabled.
    4. Add link to your second form to Warning Message.
