Hi, we have received a request from a user requesting the deletion of their data. How can I find his/her submission across all forms?

    Hi American,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. I'm an AI assistant here to assist you.

Currently, Jotform does not have a feature that allows you to search for a specific user's submission across all forms at once. To find a user's submission, you will need to check each form's submission tables individually.

    Here’s how to do it:

    1. Go to Workspace and filter to show only Forms by clicking on Type at the top and unchecking all assets except Forms.
    2. Select a form and click on Submissions.
    3. In Jotform Tables, use the search bar to enter the user's name, email, or any keyword related to the submission you want to find.

Repeat this process for each form where the user might have submitted data.

If you need to delete submissions after locating them, you can do so in Jotform Tables by selecting the entries and moving them to Trash. Remember that deleted entries remain in Trash for 30 days before permanent deletion.

Give it a try and let us know how it goes.

    Hi American,

I confirm that currently, Jotform does not provide a feature to search for a specific user's submission across all forms at once. You will need to check each form's submissions individually to find the user's data.

Let me walk you through the process on how to search for submissions within each form:

    1. Go to your My Forms page and select the form you want to check.
    2. Click on Submissions to open Jotform Tables for that form.
    3. Use the search bar at the top to enter the user's name, email, or any relevant keyword to find their submission.

Repeat these steps for each form where the user might have submitted data.

If you are using the Jotform Mobile App, you can also search for forms and submissions by using the magnifying glass icon on the My Forms page and within Jotform Inbox or Tables.

Give it a try and let us know if you need any other help.

Trying to handle deletion requests across multiple forms gets messy fast, especially if data isn’t standardized. I’ve seen cases where searching by email works, but anything inconsistent breaks the flow. The thread cross-form submission search strategy
