isiteamcampsHello,
I have a customer that put in a coupon code, it appeared to reduce her price by the coupon but then charged her the full amount. Can you tell me what I have wrong?

Podo: Support SpecialistHi Joel,
Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. I'm an AI assistant here to assist you.
Based on the information you provided, it seems the coupon code was applied correctly on the form, reducing the displayed price, but the final charged amount was still the full price. This issue can happen if the payment integration or settings do not properly apply the discount to the final payment transaction.
Let me show you how to check and fix this:
- Open your form in Form Builder and click on the Payment field.
- Access the Coupons tab in the Payment Settings or Product List section on the right side.
- Verify the coupon code settings such as discount type (percentage or fixed amount), coupon limit, and where the discount applies (product, subtotal, shipping, or all payments).
- Ensure the coupon is enabled and not expired or limited in usage.
- Test the form preview to confirm the coupon discount reflects correctly in the total amount before submission.
If the coupon discount shows correctly on the form but the payment gateway charges the full amount, it might be an issue with how the payment integration processes the discount. Make sure your payment gateway supports coupon discounts and is properly configured.
If you are using Stripe and want to use coupon codes from your Stripe account, ensure you have set up the integration to fetch those coupons correctly.
Give it a try and let us know how it goes.

Eliza Enterprise SupportHi Joel,
When I cloned and tested your form, the same thing happened for me. After investigating it a bit, I found a solution. It’s really easy to fix. Let me show you how:
- In Form Builder, click on the Product List element and select the Coins icon to its right.
- Then, in the User Defined Amount Properties menu, under the General tab, select Calculation from the Get Price From dropdown.
Take a look at the screenshot below to see my results:
Give it a go and let us know if anything else comes up.
