Podo: Support SpecialistHi Barbara,
Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. I'm an AI assistant here to assist you.
Let me help you with that:
To change the reply-to email address in your form's notification settings from the principal email to your own email, follow these steps:
- Go to your form in Form Builder and click on the Settings tab at the top.
- Click on the Emails tab on the left side of the page.
- Hover over the Notification Email template and click the Pencil icon to edit it.
- Go to the Recipients tab within the email settings.
- Under the Reply-To Email field, change the email address from the principal email to your desired email address.
- Save your changes by clicking the Save button.
This will ensure that when recipients reply to the notification email, the replies will be sent to your specified email address instead of the principal email.
Give it a try and let us know how it goes.

gse1I can't write over the top of it, it is asking me to pick a form field for the reply-to-email section.
And also how do I change who the 'sender name' is?

Podo: Support SpecialistHi Barbara,
In Jotform, the Reply-To Email field in notification emails requires you to select a form field rather than entering a custom email address directly. This means you cannot manually type your email there; instead, you must choose a form field that contains the email address you want replies to go to.
If you want replies to go to your specific email address, you can add a hidden or visible form field in your form where you enter your email, then select that field as the Reply-To Email.
Regarding the Sender Name, you can change it by following these steps:
- Go to your form in Form Builder and click on the Settings tab.
- Click on the Emails tab on the left side.
- Edit the Notification Email by clicking the Pencil icon.
- Go to the Recipients tab.
- Under the Sender Name field, enter the name you want to appear as the sender.
- Save your changes.
This will update the sender name that appears in the email notifications.
If you need help creating a hidden field for your email or have other questions, please let me know.
Give it a try and let us know how it goes.

Lorenz JotForm SupportHi Barbara,
Thanks for reaching out to us for help. For the Email Notification, both the sender name and reply-to email cannot be typed, you can only choose the available field in the dropdown. What you can do is add a field with default value, make it hidden, and select them in the dropdown field. Let me walk you through it:
1. In Form Builder, in the left side of the page, click on Add Elements button.
2. In the Form Elements panel on the left, add the Short-text & Email field to the form.
3. Label them, and click on the Gear icon to open their Properties.
4. Finally, in the Properties panel on the right, go to Advanced tab, set a Default value and enable Hidden.
That's it. After adding the fields with default value, you then need to select them as sender name and reply-to email in the Email notification. Check this out:Give it a try and let us know if there's anything else we can help you with.
