Assign Form with a date that is limited on the public form

I use a "date picker" in my form, and I frequently use the limits feature to close ordering for specific dates on the form that is published to the general public.

I am trying to figure out a way to allow a customer to book on a closed date without having to go into the limits feature. I was testing assigning the form to them. I did get as far as removing the limit from the general form, assigning the form with the specific date and emailing the form to the customer. However, I immediately reinstated the limit and when I went to submit the test form that I assigned to myself I could not because I received a message that the date was not available.

Is there a work around or fix for my issue?

One possible approach is to temporarily remove the date limit for the specific date, assign the form to the customer, and then reinstate the limit. However, as you experienced, this prevents assigned users from selecting that date once the limit is back in place.

Currently, Jotform does not support exceptions to date limits for individual users or assigned forms. You might consider alternative solutions such as creating a separate form without the date limit for special bookings or handling exceptions manually.
