harmonydayspaMy account Harmony Day Spa - Watertown NY 13601
My Jotform is not calculating the totals correctly- I have been going back and forth with the Ai agent, and this is not getting corrected.
A client trying to purchase a Gift Certificate for 150.00, 1.00 GC fee, and a 30.00 tip- total should be 181.00 - she contacted me because it was calculating it as $451.00.
After much back and forth with the AI agent this is still not correct- I see that on the actual form that TWO sections are showing payment information- the first section is showing correct info and there is another payment field that says MY PRODUCTS above where you would select the PayPal option to pay.
Under the gratuity is says starting at 10.00 but under that section is shows a total of 100.00 which is should not.
The form should be set up to choose a gc starting at 25.00 and up
1.oo service fee
gratuity starting at 10.00 and up
Can you please assist me.
Thank you

BrandonHi Dolores,
I'd be happy to help with your issue! I took a look at the form and noted that the "Gratuity" section was listed in "10 dollars." This explains the large number that was appearing when your client put in those numbers. What they were doing by selecting "30" was actually selecting "30 selections of 10 dollars," which meant they were actually saying $300. I cloned the form and changed the "Price" section to 1 dollar instead of 10 dollars. Once I did so I input the numbers you mentioned and got that "181.00" value that you expected. Just try changing the "Price" section in the Product List for the gratuity to 1.00 and it should work.
I hope that works! If not, feel free to ask any other questions. -
harmonydayspaBrandon,
Thank you for the reply but I need further help with this, so please allow me some grace here.
I do not know how to do this; can you do this from your end? I cannot even find how to do this from my end.
On my website it is not showing the same form, what it is showing is an additional section of payment when the PayPal payment option was added- which I mentioned in my email yesterday. Along with that it is showing under the gratuity field a total of $100. which it is adding that onto the payment total as well.
On the website it is also showing the word FREE next to the field where the client would enter in the amount they want to purchase for the gift certificate.
What I need is:
Gift Certificate amount ( customer chooses starting at $25 and up
Service Fee charged of $1.00
Gratuity starting at $5.00 and up
The calculations to total correctly
Can you change this for me?
Please advise
Thank you

Shaira JotForm SupportHi Dolores,
To achieve this, you’ll need to reconfigure your Product List. Let me show you how:
- In Form Builder, navigate to the Product List field related to this question.
- Now, on the right side of the field, click on the Shopping Cart icon to access its properties.
- Next, navigate to Gift Certificate product, and click on the Pencil icon to access its settings.
- Then, under the Price section, change the price into 1.00 and click on Save to apply the changes you've made.
Now, do the same with Gratuity product. But, instead of using Dropdown which makes your users limited to choose from options, use Textbox also. Let me show you how:- In Form Builder, navigate to the Product List field related to this question.
- Now, on the right side of the field, click on the Shopping Cart icon to access its properties.
- Next, navigate to Gratuity product, and click on the Pencil icon to access its settings.
- Then, under the Options tab, navigate to Dollar amount for Gratuity and click on the Pencil icon to access its settings.
5. While on the same panel, click on the Dropdown menu and select Text Box.
6. Finally, click on Save Quantity to apply the changes you've made.
Check out the screencast below to see my result: You mentioned that your form is embedded on your website. Could you confirm if you’re using the iFrame embed code? If not, I suggest using it instead. Embedding your form on a webpage is really easy. Let me show you how:- In Form Builder, in the orange navigation bar at the top of the page, click on Publish.
- In the menu on the left side of the page, click on Embed.
- Now, select iFrame, and click on Copy Code.
- Paste your code into your webpage's embed area, and that’s it.
If that’s not quite what you’re looking for, can you share a bit more info so I can help you better?Reach out again if you have any other questions.
