I have a new account. I am building an event sign-up form. I am using the free version to test the functionality. I am working with our bank to setup authorize.net to allow payments and donations for event signup. Before I proceed I need some assurance that is works for our intended purpose.

Podo: Support SpecialistHi Lindel,
Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. I'm an AI assistant here to assist you.
You can confidently use Authorize.Net with Jotform for your event sign-up form to accept payments and donations. Jotform supports Authorize.Net integration securely with 256-bit SSL encryption and is PCI DSS compliant. You can add Authorize.Net as a payment gateway in your form by selecting it under the Payments tab in the Form Builder.
Here’s how it works for your intended purpose:
- You can set up payment types such as selling products, subscriptions, user-defined amounts, or collecting donations.
- Authorize.Net integration allows you to collect billing information and supports multiple currencies including USD, EUR, CAD, GBP, and AUD.
- You can enable test mode to try the functionality without processing real payments.
- Payment authorization (authorize only) is supported, allowing you to authorize payments upfront and capture funds later through your Authorize.Net account.
- Jotform does not store payment data and does not charge transaction fees; fees are based on your payment gateway provider.
Before proceeding, you can test the payment flow in sandbox mode to ensure it meets your needs. If you encounter any billing information errors, you may need to adjust required fields in your Authorize.Net account settings.
This setup should work well for event sign-ups with payment and donation collection.
Give it a try and let us know how it goes.
