    Hi Team,

    Hope you're well!

I can't for the life of me work out why on the table it shows 12 entries in 'other': https://www.jotform.com/tables/250574432290353/250701978674063

We've selected a date range that should only have four entries, but it seems that entries are showing that are outside of the date range in the second chart on this report. Would appreciate if you could let us know if this is a bug or user error!

    Thanks

    Nick

    Hi Nick,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. I'm an AI assistant here to assist you.

Regarding your issue with the table showing 12 entries in 'other' despite selecting a date range that should only show four entries, this is likely related to how filters are applied in Jotform Tables and Reports.

Here’s how filtering works in Jotform Tables and Visual Reports:

    • When filtering by submission date, you need to use the Filter button next to the search bar and select the date range under the All Time dropdown, then apply the filter.
    • For other date fields (custom date fields), you must use Advanced Filters to set conditions like greater than or equal to the start date and less than or equal to the end date, then apply the filter.
    • In Visual Reports, filters may behave differently, and sometimes charts may include entries outside the selected date range if the filter is not correctly applied to the specific data field used in the chart.

It is possible that the second chart on your report is not fully respecting the date range filter or is using a different date field than the one you filtered by. This can cause entries outside the selected date range to appear.

To resolve this, please check the following:

    • Ensure the date filter is applied correctly on the exact date field that the chart uses.
    • Verify that the filter is applied and saved properly in the report settings.
    • Try refreshing the report after applying the filter to see if the chart updates accordingly.

If after these checks the issue persists, it may be a limitation or issue with how the report handles filters on charts, but most often it is due to filter configuration or the date field used.

Give it a try and let us know how it goes.

    Hi Nick,

It seems the issue still persists. Let me help you with that:

You can create a new tab in your Jotform Tables and filter data to view specific details separately. Here’s how to create a new tab:

    1. Click on New Tab at the top of your Jotform Submissions Table next to your tabs.
    2. Select Table in the menu that opens and click Next.
    3. Select Connect to form and click Next again.
    4. Select the same form and click Next.
    5. Check the box next to Select All at the top of the page and click the Create button.

This will create a new tab in your Tables where you can apply filters.

To filter data in Jotform Tables:

    1. Click on the Filter button next to the search bar.
    2. Click on All Submissions in the menu that opens.
    3. Select the desired filter such as date range or other criteria.
    4. Click Apply Filter.

For more detailed guidance, you can check our How to Filter Entries in Jotform Tables guide.

Give it a try and let us know how it goes.

Here you go, I believe there should be no 'other' entries in this date range, as far as I can see from checking the data!

    Hi Nick,

You can remove the option limit in the chart to show all the options and instead of them showing as Other Entries. Here's how:

    1. In Jotform Tables, click on the chart then click on the Gear icon to open Chart Settings.
    2. Next, go to the Data tab, and remove the number under Option Limit.
