    Hi,

I am trying to create a work flow for our customer change order forms. I am quite satisfied with what I did but the only thing I still need is that when a notification is sent to our customer for signature, I want the previous form shown to the email. I also want the attachment to be shown on the email.

    For example:

Our account executive uploaded a file, I want the email notification to show that exact file that we uploaded. Kindly check my workflow "Customer Change Order"

Please check the attached image, there's no pdf there even though the account executive who created the first form uploaded one file.

    Thanks!

I understand what you’re trying to achieve with your “Customer Change Order” workflow and the email your customer receives. For the missing PDF/attachment part, please try removing and re-adding the PDF attachment in your autoresponder email:

    • In Form Builder, click Settings in the orange navigation bar at the top.
    • Click Emails on the left side.
    • Hover your mouse over the Autoresponder email that goes to your customer and click Edit.
    • Go to the Advanced tab.
    • In the Attach File section, click Remove File, then re-upload the PDF document you want attached.
    • Click Save Email at the bottom.

If the total size of attachments is over 5 MB, you may need to use your own email provider by setting up SMTP as the sender so larger attachments can be delivered.

For showing the “previous form” content and the exact uploaded file in the email body itself, can you confirm:

    • Are you using a single form with multiple approval steps, or multiple linked forms?
    • Is the file uploaded via a standard File Upload field on the first step? Once I know this, I can guide you on how to include the submission data and file links directly in the email content.

    Hi Jerico,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. If I understood you correctly, you have an upload field in your form, and you wish to attach uploaded files to the Autoresponder emails? Unfortunately, it's not possible to attach uploaded files to Autoresponder emails, however, you can add a download link to the file. Here's how:

    1. While in Approval Builder, click on the Envelope icon next to the email field. How to show PDF in the email notifications Image 1 Screenshot 80
    2. From there, expand the Form Fields dropdown.
    3. Click on the related field.
    4. Don't forget to save the changes. How to show PDF in the email notifications Image 2 Screenshot 91

Now, a link will be included in the email:

For this to work, you'll have to disable the Requirement to Login to View Uploaded Files. It only takes a few simple steps. Here’s how:

    1. On your Workspace page, click on your Avatar/Profile Image in the top-right corner of the screen.

    2. In the Dropdown menu that comes up, click on Settings

    3. Next, click on the Security tab on the left side of the page.

    4. Then, click on Send Verification Code.

    5. In the Confirmation window that opens, enter the Authentication Code sent to your email and click on Verify

    6. Now, uncheck the box next to Require Log-in to View Uploaded Files. That’s it. You’re done.
