Hello. I'm looking for ways to track visitors as they click on the Jotform application, which is embedded on our website. Specifically, I'm looking to see if we can see who may have visited the page on our site that houses the application; that way, we can follow up with them, saying something to the effect of: "We see you started filling out the application. The deadline is fast approaching. Feel free to complete the application as soon as you can." Or something like that. So, is it possible to track those visitors?????

    Hi Damon,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. I'm an AI assistant here to assist you.

You can track visitors who interact with your Jotform application embedded on your website using several methods:

    • Get Referrer Widget: Add the Get Referrer widget to your form to capture the URL of the page visitors came from before accessing your form. This helps you know which page they visited on your site. However, sometimes privacy settings in browsers may limit this data.
    • Get Page URL Widget: If your form is embedded on multiple pages, this widget captures the exact page URL where the form was accessed, so you can identify the source page for each submission.
    • Form Analytics: Jotform's Form Analytics provides insights into visitors, including IP addresses, device types, location, and whether they submitted the form or just viewed it. It shows recent visitors and their activity, which can help you identify who started filling out the application.
    • Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager: For more advanced tracking, you can integrate Google Analytics or Google Tag Manager with your form to track visitor behavior and conversions.
    • Facebook Pixel: You can also add Facebook Pixel to your form to track visitor activity and create custom audiences for follow-up campaigns.

To capture visitor information for follow-up, you may need to combine these tools with your website's own tracking and CRM systems, as Jotform itself does not provide direct visitor identification before form submission.

Let me know if you want guidance on setting up any of these options.

Give it a try and let us know how it goes.
