    Hi Jazmin,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. The sign field and the sign document are two different features. The sign field is a specific element you add to your form that lets respondents draw their signature directly in that one spot on the form. The sign document feature is a product like Form Builder and lets you upload an entire document like a PDF for respondents to review and sign in full.

So if you just need a signature on part of your form, you'd use the sign field, but if you want someone to sign a complete contract or agreement, you'd use the sign document feature instead. If you're looking to dive deeper into signatures, we’ve got guides on How to Add an E-Signature to Your Form and How to Use Jotform Sign that can help.

Reach out again if you have any questions.

I'd like to follow up with a related questiom. Does the jotform limitation for sugned documents per month refer to only jotform signature documents, or does it include standard documents that have a sign field in them?

    HI Jazmin,

This just refers to E-sign documents. A form with a signature field would be considered a separate thing.

Please let us know if you need anything else!
