KarinLaFramboiseI am trying to create a form that collects the names of tools my clients are using. I want the fields for the tool info to appear on every form. THEN i want to add a conditional field that will allow them to add additional tools (and duplicate the same questions about those tools) - I am having a hard time getting the conditional logic to work. help.

Lesther Support Team LeadHi Melissa,
Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. You can duplicate the tool fields and then group them together using the Section Collapse element. In the condition, use the Section Collapse to conditionally display the tool fields. Let me show you how:
First, add the Section Collapse in every duplicate field:
1. In Form Builder, click on Add Element at the upper left of the page to open the Form Elements.
2. Under the Basic tab in the Form Elements, scroll down to the bottom, and click and drag Section Collapse to add.
3. Once added, click on the Gear icon to open the Section Collapse Properties, type in the label in the Section Heading, and set the Section Visibility to Visible.
Do the same for the other groups. Make sure that you have the field Would you like to add another AI Tool? at the bottom of every group. Now, let's add the Show/Hide Field Condition:1. In Form Builder, in the orange navigation bar at the top, click on Settings.
2. Then, in the menu on the left, click on Conditions, select Show/Hide Fields condition.
3. Finally, create a Show/Hide Field condition as shown in the screenshot below:
This method is limited to the number of duplicate fields that are already in the form. There's no option to automatically generate the same fields whenever the user wants to add more. Open this link to test my demo form.
Alternatively, you may consider the Configurable List widget. You can specify the fields to initially display. There will be a button for the user to click, and it will display the same list of fields. There's no limit, but all the responses in these fields will be in a single column when you view them in the Jotform submissions table. The Configurable List widget is easy to use. Let me show you how:
1. In Form Builder, click on Add Element on the left side of the page.
2. Under the Widgets tab, drag and drop the Configurable List widget into your form or just click on it to add.
3. Then, in the menu on the left, click on Add Field and select the type of it.
4. Next, click on the Gear icon next to the field labels to arrange their settings.
5. Once you are done, click on Go Back, and then click on Update at the bottom of the menu.
You can check out how it’ll work in the screencast below: Give it a try and let us know how it goes.
