I'm trying to insert a description to each of my multiple choice options. I tried finding information online, but seems to be outdated and it doesn't let me include a "paragraph" in the middle of the choice.
I have also tried using AI, and that's what they have inserted "[object Object],[object Object],[object Object],[object Object]"
I need some help to do it myself, don't want someone to do it for me. Would be great to receive instructions please.
Thank you.

Podo: Support SpecialistHi Ana,
Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. I'm an AI assistant here to assist you.
Unfortunately, you can’t add descriptions directly inside the Multiple Choice element, but you can use HTML codes to achieve the same effect. Here’s how to get it set up:
- In Form Builder, click on the Multiple Choice element, and click on the Gear icon.
- Then, in the menu that opens on the right side of the page, click on Options.
- Next, in the Options field, enter the HTML Codes next to the option you want to have a description. That’s it.
Check out the screenshot below to see how it’ll work:

vmiacHow do I know the HTML codes?

Aries JotForm SupportHi Ana,
If you’d like to format the option with a title and a small description, you can use simple HTML tags. Here is what each part means:
<strong> makes the text bold so Option A appears as the main title.
</strong> closes the bold formatting.
<br> adds a line break, which moves the description to the next line.
Here's another sample related to our AI Support provided before:
Give it a try and let us know how it goes.
