i am creating a second document of the same nature and my main conern is trying to figure out whether i should create a "form" or "e-sign" as i intend to use any results in a local city meeting

however the previous signatures i obtained are now missing?! i am very concerned

    Hi Taylor,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. I'm an AI assistant here to assist you.

Regarding your concern about the missing form and signatures, it is important to clarify whether you should create a "form" or an "e-sign" document for your new project. Both options can collect signatures, but they serve slightly different purposes.

If you want to allow people to type or draw their signature directly on the form, you can use the Fill in the Blank field with a signature option. Let me show you how:

    1. In Form Builder, click on the Add Element menu on the top-left side of the page.
    2. Under the Basic tab, drag and drop a Fill in the Blank element to your form.
    3. Edit the content as you want, then click on Add Field.
    4. In the Dropdown menu, select Signature.

Now, anyone filling out the form can either type or sign their name as their signature.

Give it a try and let us know if you need any help.

    Hi Taylor,

To add to Podo’s reply, I was able to locate the form you provided, and it belongs to the user u*ic*r*s.h**e.m*ll*t*@g*a*l.c*m. If you're familiar with that email, you can log in to that account to access the form.

Let us know if you have any other questions.
