    Hi Kashuna,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. I'm an AI assistant here to assist you.

To have the name from the email subject line mimic the file name when dumping files into Google Drive via Jotform, you need to customize the file naming settings in your integration or notification setup.

    Here’s how to do it:

    1. Go to your form's Settings tab and select Integrations.
    2. Choose Google Drive integration and authorize your account if not done yet.
    3. In the integration setup, look for the option to specify the Folder Name and Subfolder Name. You can set these dynamically using form fields or submission data.
    4. For the file name itself, you can customize the PDF filename in the PDF Editor by opening PDF Settings and editing the PDF File Name. Use form fields to dynamically assign the filename based on the subject line or any other field.
    5. Save the integration and test a submission to confirm the files are named and organized as desired in your Google Drive.

Unfortunately, there is no direct feature to rename uploaded files exactly as the email subject line automatically, but using dynamic field values in folder and PDF file naming is the closest approach.

Give it a try and let us know how it goes.

So there is NO way for the file to automatically be named based on the submit line.

The goal is NOT to have to open each one and rename them manually

    Hi Kashuna,

You can set the filename for the submissions PDF in the PDF Editor page. Simply select the form fields you’d like to use as the file name. This will then become the default filename when downloading the submissions PDF or when sending it to Google Drive through the integration. Let me show you how:

    1. In Form Builder, click on the Downward Arrow icon next to the Jotform Logo and select PDF Editor.

    2. Now, on the PDF Editor, click on the Gear icon at the upper right to open the PDF Settings.

    3. Under the PDF File Name, click on Pencil icon, and then click on Form Fields dropdown to select the form fields to be the file name.
