YekaniHi,
I want to know how to add some text with a multiple choice option? If a client chooses a multiple choice option, how can I add text to it? for example an amount of whichever box they chose.

Lesther Support Team LeadHi Cassandra,
Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. Unfortunately, the Multiple Choice field does not have a built-in feature that displays text next to an option once it is selected.
Alternatively, you can add separate Multiple Choice fields for each option and then insert a Form Calculation widget below each one. The Form Calculation can be configured to conditionally display text when the corresponding option is selected. First, add individual multiple choice fields. Let me show you how:
1. In Form Builder, click on Add Element on the left side of the page.
2. Then, in the Form Elements menu, under the Basic tab, scroll down to Multiple Choice, and drag and drop a Multiple Choice element to your form.
3. Click on the Gear icon to open the Multiple Choice Properties on the right, and under the General tab, remove the field label.
4. Go to the Options tab, enter one choice, enable the Calculation values, and enter the text that you want to display.
Do the same steps to add the other choices. It will be individual elements, but it will appear like a one multiple choice. After that, add Form Calculation widget to each one. This will display the text once each corresponding choice is selected. Let me walk you through:
1. While in the Form Elements, under the Widgets tab, drag and drop a Form Calculation element after each Multiple Choice field.
2. Remove the label, and on the Form Calculation Widget settings on the right, click on Add Field to select the corresponding Multiple Choice.
3. Apply the same setup as shown in the following image, and then Save to finish.
Do the same to add the Form Calculation widget to each multiple choice. Finally, add a condition to display the text corresponding to the selected option. Here's how to do it:
1. While in the Form Builder, in the orange navigation bar at the top of the page, click on Settings.
2. Open the Conditions tab on the left, and select the Show/Hide fields condition.
3. Apply the following condition:
The condition above is applied to one multiple choice field only. When the first Multiple Choice is selected, it will display the corresponding Form Calculation widget that holds the text to display. Do the same concept to the other choices.
Open this link to test my demo form. Clone it to own a copy and be able to see the entire setup. You can find the guide on how to clone a form here. Here's a screencast demonstrating how it works:
We can position the fields that you think fit best. Just give us the details in your response.
Give it a try and let us know how it goes.
