Silvano JotForm SupportHi Shashikant,
Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. Can you replace the paragraph field with a Short Scrollable Terms widget instead? Adding it is easy, let me walk you through the steps:
- In Form Builder, click on Add Element at the top left side of the page.
- Now, click on Widgets Tab.
- Next, search and select Short Scrollable Terms Widget and add it to your form.
- Finally, click on the Wand Icon and enter your terms under Content Textbox in the right panel.
That's it. Give it a try and let us know if you need any other help.

mr.shashikanHi Silvano,
This checkbox is not only for terms and condition. When I add this checkbox for other places it does not show up initially before signing the document. Is there any other kind of checkboxes to use?
Thanks,

ZeynepHi Shashikan,
Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support.
If you’re asking whether you can use other types of checkboxes, not just the Terms & Conditions element, the answer is yes. You’re not limited to using the Terms & Conditions widget only for agreements.
Here are a few options you can use, depending on what you need:
1. Using a regular Checkbox fieldYou can use a standard Checkbox field for any type of confirmation, including agreements.
- Add a Checkbox field from the Basic elements.
- Use a label like:
- I confirm that the information above is correct
- or
- I agree to the terms and conditions
- Enable the Required option to make sure users must check it before submitting.
This option works well if you don’t need a separate scrollable terms box.
2. Checkbox with a clickable agreement linkIf you want users to read the terms but don’t need the full Terms widget:
- Use a regular Checkbox field.
- Add a link to your terms directly in the option text.
- The link can open in a new tab, while the checkbox stays next to the text.
This gives you more flexibility in layout and wording.
3. Multiple confirmation checkboxesIf you need users to confirm more than one thing (for example, terms, privacy policy, or age confirmation), you can:
- Use multiple Checkbox fields, or
- Use one Checkbox field with multiple options, and mark it as Required.
Each option can represent a different type of confirmation.
When to use the Terms & Conditions widgetThe Terms & Conditions widget is best if:
- You need to display long legal text inside the form
- You want a built-in scrollable agreement box
Otherwise, regular Checkbox fields work just as well for confirmations.
Give it a try and let us know which setup you prefer, and we can help you fine-tune the layout.

mr.shashikanHi Zeynep,
Thanks for giving the suggestion to use the checkbox as you guggested.
I tried but, it does not fit the style, keeping numbering, bold and all style along with checkbox.
Please refer screenshot below which I want to achieve:
Added checkbox as per your suggestion, but it's styling not looking good
Thanks,
