SubZeroSWI have tried using conditions to reset or refresh fields manually when editing, but I noticed there is no "Clear a Field" option under conditions. I am unsure if I am missing something or if there is another way to achieve this. I need examples or guidance on how to use conditions or other form elements to manually refresh or reset fields when editing submissions. -
Norwyn Enterprise SupportHello there,
Thanks for your patience. I understand that you need to clear the value on a field when the Submission is being edited using conditions. Currently, there's no direct option to clear field values using conditions.
As a workaround, you can use a combination of a Condition and the Get Form Page URL widget. Let's set that up together.
- On the Form Builder page, click on the Add Element button on the left. Go to the Widgets tab.
- Look for the Get Form Page URL widget and add it to the Form.
- Next, go to the Settings tab on the orange navigation bar at the top. Then, go to the Conditions section on the left pane.
- Select Update/Calculate Field from the options. Then, use the dropdown list to apply the trigger and the action. Click the Save button to apply the changes.
Here's an example condition.
Once that's set up, you'll get this result.
I created a demo form that you can clone for reference.

SubZeroSWSorry how do you get the BLANK grey box. I have tried numerous things and it doesn't see to work.
-
SubZeroSWnevermind, I believe I figured it out. Just hit space bar and enter. Is that correct?

Adrian Besilla JotForm SupportHi SubZeroSW,
You can create that blank grey box simply by clicking inside the calculation area without selecting a field or value. Or you can try to press the space bar, then click anywhere, and the grey box will appear.
Give it a try and let us know if you need any more help. -
SubZeroSWOK. I got that to work.
Now I want it it to re-run the worksheet to form widget by copying the field again into the model number verification.
I have blanked out two fields. Then I wrote a condition that if edit and the two fields are full again, that it would copy the field (that doesn't get re-entered) into the widget.
