Salesforce Integration: Need to Change User Account Without Recreating Integration

We really need a way to change the user account the Salesforce integration was originally set up to use. It is very common for staff to turn over, and we need to deactivate their Salesforce user account. But then that will break forms integration. Without turning off the Jotform Salesforce integration, and then having to recreate it all from scratch, we are out of luck.

To try to avoid this issue, we do have an integration user account to use, but if staff clone an older Jotform that didn't use this account, there is no way to change it once set. WE DESPERATELY NEED A WAY IN JOTFORM TO CHANGE THE USER ACCOUNT THE INTEGRATION USES!

    Thank you for your consideration!

    Hi Emiko,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. At this time, the Salesforce integration in Jotform is tied to the Salesforce account that was originally authenticated during setup. Unfortunately, there isn’t currently a way to switch the connected user account without removing and re‑creating the integration.

While that feature isn’t available in Jotform right now, I’ve sent your request to our Developers for review. When or if it gets developed will depend on their current workload, how possible it is, and how much demand there is from other users. If/when we have any updates, we’ll follow up here and keep you posted.

    Hi Emiko,

We’re happy to let you know that the feature you requested is now available!

You can now change the connected account without having to delete and recreate your entire integration setup.

Let me walk you through the steps:

    • First, navigate to the Form Builder and open the Salesforce integration settings for your form.
    • Then, go to the Connected Account section, hover over it, and select Change Account from the menu.

    • In the dialog, click Yes, Change. Then, on the next screen, choose the account you want to proceed with.

If there are no configuration differences between the two environments (e.g., Salesforce objects or fields), your form will be successfully switched to the new environment. However, if there are any mismatches, you’ll see relevant warnings in your integration actions. Please make sure to resolve them so your integration continues running without errors.

If you have any questions along the way, feel free to reach out — we’re happy to help.

Thanks again for your feedback, and we hope this new feature makes your workflow even smoother.

    All the best,

    Derya
