Allow Responders to Add Events to Their Calendar

Is there any way I can give options to my responders to add the event to their calendar?

I first tried using an .ics calendar file (the standard format Outlook uses), but it wasn’t opening properly.

There is also an option to use a Google Calendar link, but this won't work as they would have to use a gmail account.

    Hi Tris,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. Let me help you with that:

Currently, you can offer your responders options to add events to their calendars by integrating calendar services through Jotform Workflows. For example, you can add a Google Calendar integration within a workflow to allow responders to add events directly. However, this requires users to have a Google account.

Regarding the .ics file, if it’s not opening properly, it might be due to formatting issues or how the file is generated. Unfortunately, Jotform does not have a built-in feature to generate or attach .ics files automatically for event invitations.

One alternative is to use Jotform Workflows to connect your form with calendar services, which can streamline the process for your responders.

If you want, I can guide you on setting up such an integration using Jotform Workflows.

With the workflows, will there be a need for me to purchase a paid subscription?

    Hi Tris,

Thanks for your question. Using Jotform Workflows to integrate calendar services does not necessarily require a paid subscription. However, some advanced features or higher usage limits within Workflows might be available only on paid plans.

You can start using Workflows and explore the calendar integration options with your current plan to see if it meets your needs before deciding to upgrade.

    Hi Tris,

An alternative in allowing your users to add events to their calendar is to upload the .ics file to your server or hosting provider. Once uploaded, you can add the link of the file in the Autoresponder Email. Adding a link to the Autoresponder Email is easy. Let me show you how:

    1. In Form Builder, in the orange navigation bar at the top of the page, click on Settings.

    2. In the menu on the left side of the page, click on Emails.

    3. Hover your mouse over the Autoresponder Email and click on the Pencil icon
