Why aren't the recipients actually receiving the email reply after they submit a form?

Hi Monica,
Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. The Autoresponder Email should be sent to the recipient after they submit the form. Do you have an Autoresponder Email added to the form? We can't go any further to check the forms on your account since you reached us using a guest account. When you're in a guest account, you're not logged into your Jotform account. This means your Jotform account isn't verified, which will cause the assets not to be accessible on our end.
