Hello-
I am looking for advice. I am looking to build a process where we have a series of approvals (2). Can you think of any way to achieve this?
Ideal process:
Send the link to person one. They sign it.
It then goes to person two. They sign it. Then it emails the completed product to us.
Thank you,
George

Hi George,
Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. Creating a Workflow with multiple approvals is easy. Let me show you how:
1. Open your form in Form Builder and in the blue navigation bar at the top of the screen, tap on Settings.
2. Under the Settings tab, tap on Workflows.
3. Then, click on Create Workflow. This will open the Workflow Builder with your form as the starting point.
Now, let's add and connect workflow elements:
1. In Workflow Builder, select Add Element on the upper-left side of the screen.
2. Click or drag and drop two Approval elements and an Email element to add them to the workflow.
3. Choose the Gear icon on the Approval element and under Approvers section, add the emails of the approvers.
4. Select the Email element and click the Email icon.
5. Go to Recipients tab and add the emails of all parties. You can click Fields to pull the email from form submission.
6. Then in the Advanced tab, enable Send Submission PDFs then select the PDF Template and click the Save button.
5. Finally, drag the line from one element to another and select the Approval Outcome to connect the flow and that's it. You're done.
Let us know if you need any other help.

Thank you again. I have a question. I want the person completing this request to be able to add the email addresses of the two people whom they require approval from. I see that it requires an email address, but can the user add the email address to which they want to send the form to be signed?

User completes the ROV form
They enter an email address to whom they want to sign
The form is sent to that email address
That person signs, and it is complete.

Hi George,
Will you be using your AGENT/BROKER - VALLIGENT PARTNER AGREEMENT form? Instead of using the Workflow, you can add another Email field to your form and add an edit link to the email content of its Autoresponder. But to allow the other user to edit and sign your form, you should disable the Jotform Sign Automation. Let me show you how to do this:
- In Smart PDF Forms, click on Settings on the blue navigation bar at the top of the page.
- Select Jotform Sign from the left sign window, and toggle off the Enable Jotform Sign Automation option.
Now, add another Email field for the second person. Check out my screenshot below:
Let's now add another Autoresponder for the second person:
- In Smart PDF Forms, click on Settings on the blue navigation bar at the top of the page.
- Select Emails from the left side window and click on Add Email at the top.
- Next, select Autoresponder Email and in the Email Content.
- Click on Form Fields and select Edit Link.eive
- From the Recipients tab, select the Email field for the other person as the Recipient Email and click on Save at the bottom of the page.
Next, let's set up the Change Email Recipient condition:
- In Smart PDF Forms, click on Settings on the orange navigation bar at the top of the page.
- Select Conditions from the left side window and select Change Email Recipient.
- Set up the condition like the one below and click on Save at the bottom of the page.
- Set up another Change Email Recipient condition like the one below:
When the first person enters the email address of the second person, the second person will receive an email with the edit link, like the one below:
The second person needs to click on the hyperlink so he can sign his part on the form. Once he signs and submits the form, that's the only time that you'll receive the Notification email. You can test and clone my form here.
Give it a try and let us know how it goes.

Hi George,
To clarify, do you need to have two signatures on the ROV form? One from the submitter and another one from the approver? Is that correct? If so, we can still use the one provided by my colleague above. You need to disable the Jotform Sign feature so the approver can edit the submission by putting their signatures. They can be able to do that by accessing the Edit Link as shown on the steps provided by my colleague.
But, for us to hide the other Signature field the approver should sign, we need to add a Signature field, Email address field and a Get Form Page URL widget to conditionally hide the second signature. Let me show you how:
- In Form Builder, click on Add Element then add a Signature field to your form.
- Then, click on the Gear icon and go to the Advanced tab and enable the Hide field option.
- After that, add another Email field where users will enter the approver's email address.
- In Form Builder, click on Add Element on the left side of your screen.
- Then go to the Widgets tab and add a Get Form Page URL widget to your form.
- In Form Builder, in the orange navigation bar at the top of the screen, click on Settings.
- Then, click on Conditions on the left panel.
- After that, click on Show/Hide Field condition.
4. Setup the condition below:
Here's what it'll look like:
As to the Smart PDF option, can you explain more about it so we can check it on our end?
Give it a try and let us know how it goes.

Great question.
I think this is what we would need now that I think this through.
Party A initiates the request, signs the bottom, and inputs an email address so we know who to send it to (Party B).
It's then sent to party B to review and initial or sign that everything looks correct, and submit.
Then the PDF is sent to us completed and signed.
AskParty A initiates and signs, Party B initials or signs to indicate agreement, and then we receive the final copy.

Hi George,
The logic you want to follow, where Party A signs and enters the email address of Party B, who then signs before the document is sent to you for final review, is definitely doable. I opened up your form, but it doesn't look like you have implemented the logic suggested by my colleagues yet. Can you try adding those suggestions?
Give it a try and let us know how it goes.
