Hi,
I currently have a payment element on my form and a submit button element.
I tested the paypal payment and when I completed the payment it automatically submitted the form. According to the help search this should not happen automatically.
I see something called Square Payment which says you will submit the form and it will take you to a payment page.
Please advise as the best way to do the following...
Two things need to happen...
1) the form data needs to be submitted
2) payment has to be made for 1 of 2 products with either a paypal account or credit card
The form is a contract giving permission for a group to perfom a particular theater production.
Thank you for your assistance.
Belinda

Hi Belinda,
I checked your form named Royalty Agreement, and the PayPal payment processor on it was configured correctly. When a user answers the form, they can select whether they want to pay via PayPal or credit card. See the screenshot below:
Selecting the PayPal option will also give them various options on how to complete the payment, such as PayPal Checkout, Venmo, or Pay Later. See the screenshot below:
Once a user selects the PayPal option, they will be redirected to a payment page where they can complete the process, and only after that will the submission be submitted. If the payment is not completed, you will be able to see the submission in the Incomplete Payments tab of your Tables.
Give it a try and let us know how it goes.

Hi Ronald,
Thank you for the quick response. Jotform support is phenominal!
Just to be clear...should I remove the submit button from the form? Will the form be automatically submitted after paying with either paypal or credit card options?

Hi Belinda,
You should keep the Submit button. With PayPal buttons, the form is submitted automatically after your customer completes the PayPal checkout, but the Submit button is still needed for card payments, zero totals after coupons, Save and Continue, and any non-payment paths.
Reach out again if you have any other questions.
