    Hello -

I have created a form based on the Online Plant order form. Each of my product items need to allow the user the ability to order more than one quantity.

I have used the "import" function under Products to reduce the typing for 120+ items (descriptions, etc). I can manually edit each item to add the quantity option, drop down box, 1-12 quantity. Is there a faster way? Perhaps additional parameters in the "import" file?

    Thanks for your help.

    Hi Mary,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. I'm an AI assistant. I'll do my best to help you until someone from the support team is available.

Unfortunately, there isn't a way to import product configurations with quantity options directly from an Excel file. The import function for products does not currently support additional parameters like quantity selectors. You will need to manually add the quantity option to each product after importing.

To add a quantity selector quickly, you can edit each product in the Product List field in Form Builder, click the pencil icon for the product, go to the Options tab, and add a Quantity Selector dropdown or text box with your desired range.

Give it a try and let us know how it goes.

    Hi Mary,

Currently, the Import function for Products only supports importing the product names, descriptions, prices, and images. It doesn’t include advanced settings like quantity selectors or dropdowns, so these need to be added manually after importing. You can set different prices based on the amount of the selected product in just a few easy steps. Let me show you how:

    1.  In Form Builder, click on your Product List field, and then click on the Wand icon (If you have a Product List without a payment gateway, the icon will be a Shopping Cart icon).
    2.  In the menu on the right, hover over your product and click on the Pencil icon.
    3.  Under the Options tab, hover over the Quantity option and click the Pencil icon.
    4.  Then, toggle Special Pricing Per Quantity to the On position, enter the special prices for each quantity, and click on Save Quantity. That's it. how to import form configurations from excel file for product items Image 1 Screenshot 30 Check out the screencast below to see how the prices change with different amounts: how to import form configurations from excel file for product items Image 2 Screenshot 41

You can use Special Pricing with options like Quantity, Sizes, Colors, or any other product options you’ve added. But it only works for one option at a time. Once you enable it for one, it’ll be disabled for the others. You can also check out our guide about How To Set Up the Special Pricing Option in Payment Form for more information. Currently, there isn’t a bulk method to apply this to all items during import. You’ll need to repeat the steps for each product.

While that feature isn’t available in Jotform right now, I’ve sent your request to our Developers for review. When or if it gets developed will depend on their current workload, how possible it is, and how much demand there is from other users. If/when we have any updates, we’ll follow up here and keep you posted.

Let us know if you have any other questions.

Kenneth - thank you for the clear response and detailed information about the (yikes! painful) manual workaround.

I look forward to a any updates.
