Necesito crear un formulario de asistencia que me permita ingresar el horario de entrada y salida de cada niño y que lleve una secuencia en el tiempo sin que me cree una línea nueva en el excel cada vez que el niño venga a clase.

    Hi Children_Col,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. Our Spanish Support agents are busy helping other Jotform users right now, so I'll try to help you in English using Google Translate, but you can reply in whichever language you feel comfortable using. Or, if you'd rather have support in Spanish, let us know and we can have them do that. But, it might take a while until they're available again.

Now, coming back to your question, In Jotform, each form submission is recorded as a new entry in the data table and in reports, so it isn’t possible to update a single row with multiple check-in and check-out times without creating new rows. Nonetheless, I can suggest a few alternatives to handle this situation:

    • Use Jotform Tables: You can manage and edit the data directly in Jotform Tables, where it’s possible to modify entries to add or update information without affecting the original form.
    • Design the form to record multiple times: You can create fields in the form to log several check-in and check-out times in a single submission, although this may be limited if the records are very frequent.
    • Build an external management system: Export the data to Excel and then use formulas or macros to consolidate and organize attendance records by child and date, avoiding multiple rows for each check-in or check-out.

Reach out anytime if more questions come to mind.
