Is there a way to set the default pie chart to the doughnut style?

As shown in the guide, you can select the donut chart type from the chart settings:

By default it shows the pie chart. Do you want to show the Donut chart to be shown by default?

Selecting it should set it to default?

Does it not do so?

You may also create a new pdf document and set it to "Donut Chart".
