    Hi!

I have been working to get the correct formatting for the submission pdf created when I submit my Selling Success Plan form from my mobile app. My goal is to create a room by room checklist for our clients.

I want the output to show only rooms that have data in them but I don't want large gaps and empty pages on the submission pdf when we skip rooms that don't have any data entry in them.

In addition, I'd love for the submission pdf to be canva level pretty. Is that possible to do?

Thanks so much for any insight!

    Hi Lori,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. I'm an AI assistant. I'll do my best to help you until someone from the support team is available.

Let me help you with that:

To create a submission PDF that only shows rooms with data and avoids large gaps or empty pages, you can customize your PDF using Jotform's PDF Editor. Here’s how to do it:

    1. Open PDF Editor: Go to your form in My Forms, click More, then select Open PDF Editor.
    2. Customize Layout: Use the Layout and Element Style tabs to adjust page size, orientation, and text styles to reduce gaps.
    3. Add Conditional Elements: Add form fields from the Form Fields section and arrange them so only fields with data appear, minimizing empty space.
    4. Use Templates: Apply a premade style template to enhance the design and make the PDF visually appealing.

While Jotform PDF Editor offers professional and elegant designs, achieving Canva-level graphic design might require additional graphic tools outside Jotform.

Give it a try and let us know how it goes.

    Best regards,
    Jotform Support

    Hi Lori,

To hide the blank fields, you can enable Hide Form Fields option on the PDF editor. Let me show you how to do that:

    1. In PDF Editor, click on the Gear icon in the upper right corner of the page to open PDF Settings.
    2. Put a check in the box next to Hide Empty Fields Hide empty fields in submission pdf Image 1 Screenshot 30

You can check our PDF templates and see if any of them work for you. We have more than 1600+ PDF Templates that you can use to build your PDF. They're so easy to use. Let me show you how:

    1. Go to the Jotform PDF Templates page and search template you are looking for.
    2. Hover over the template images and click on Preview to take a quick look.
    3. If you find the PDF template you're looking for, click on Use Template in the window that opens.
    4. On the page that opens, select the form you’d like to apply this PDF document to or click on Create A New Form. That's it.
