Customization of Tables (Reports)

    Greetings,

Is it possible to customize the rows, and not only the columns, of a Table for a JotForm?

I would like data to read vertically and not all horizontally across.

    Hi Al-Anon,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. Let me help you with that:

Currently, Jotform Tables allows customization mainly of columns, but not the rows to display data vertically instead of horizontally. The table view is designed to show submissions horizontally across columns.

However, you can explore different view types like Cards or Calendar in Jotform Tables, which present data in alternative layouts, though not exactly vertical rows as you described.

If you want to organize your data differently, consider creating a blank table and customizing columns and rows manually, but vertical reading of data in a table format is not supported as a built-in feature.

Let us know if you want guidance on using different views or creating custom tables.

Give it a try and let us know how it goes.

    Best regards,
    Jotform Support

    Hi digitalstrategy,

Unfortunately, we don't have the option to customize the Jotform Table rows to display submissions data vertically. While the feature you’re looking for isn’t currently available at Jotform right now, we've gone ahead and escalated your request to our Developers. Exactly when or if it's developed depends on their workload, how viable it is, and how many other users also request it. If there are any updates, we’ll circle back to this thread and let you know.

However, if you're referring to the Input Table element in your form, give us a sample of the outcome that you want to achieve. This element don't have option to flip the orientation, but we can try and look for a workaround. Let me show you how to post a screenshot to our Help Center:

    1. On the Help Center page, scroll down to the Your Answer section and click on the Image icon.

    2. Drag and drop your image into the Upload box, or click on it and select your file.

    3. Then, click on the Add button in the bottom-right corner of the window.

    4. To resize it, click on your screenshot and then click on one of the boxes in the corners, and drag it inward.

    5. Once you're finished, click on the Post Answer button at the bottom right of the Your Answer section.
