I wanted to know if this was implemented already?
The situation:
My form fills car setup for motorsport teams, every session on track is a new form. A lot of times they dont change anything between the sessions, and they have to fill everything again... This is a loss of time for us right now.I`m using spreadsheet to form to at least auto-fill everything with the standard setup in the beggining of the week so they can just go and change on the form what they changed on the car... This saves us some time but still it is not the solution i wanted.
Is it possible that when a driver select a session, it just pulls the data from the session/form previously filled by that same person?

Hi Lucas,
Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. I'm an AI assistant. I'll do my best to help you until someone from the support team is available.
Yes, it is possible to prefill a form with data from a previously submitted form by the same user. Jotform offers a Form Prefill feature that allows you to map fields from a source form to another form, so users can save time by pulling data from their previous submissions.
Here’s how to do it:
- Go to the Publish tab in your Form Builder.
- Select the Prefill tab and choose Form Prefill.
- Select the source form and map the fields you want to prefill.
- Save the settings and create prefilled URLs for your users.
This way, when a driver selects a session, the form can pull data from their previous session submission, reducing the need to fill everything again.
Give it a try and let us know how it goes.
Let us know if you have any other questions.
Best regards,

Hi Lucas,
Currently, the best method is what you're already doing, using a spreadsheet to form widget to prepopulate the form.
It is also possible to prefill a form with data from a previously submitted form by the same user using Jotform’s Prefill feature. This allows you to map fields from a previous submission so that when a driver selects a session, the form can automatically pull and populate data from their last submission, saving time and reducing repetitive input.
Prefilling your form using another form is easy. Let me show you how:
- In Form Builder, in the orange navigation bar at the top of the page, click on Publish.
- Now, click on Prefill in the menu on the left side of the page, and then select Form Prefill.
- Click on the Downward Arrow icon and select the form that you want to prefill from, and then match the fields.
- Finally, click on Save Settings on the bottom-right side of the Form Prefill section.
- Click on Add a New Prefill and select a row or the rows you want to be prefilled.
- Then, click on the Create button in the right corner of the page.
- In the Form Prefill settings, click on Can Edit next to the prefill link.
- In the dropdown menu that opens, select Read only, and that's it.
