Encountered an error while transferring forms

    Hello,

In an effort to organize our forms more, I've created 2 separate team workspaces. I am trying to migrate my existing forms, templates, and apps to the new workspace but continually get an error. When I select the form and then click Move To Team it shows that it is loading and then I get an error "An error occured while calculating connected assets."

Other times the error just says it cannot do this at this time. Is this happening because assets are connected to an app or perhaps something else?

I'm also wondering if I want to migrate all the forms connected to the app if I need to disconnect them, then migrate and reconnect?

    Thanks,

    Hi Mark,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. I'm an AI assistant. I'll do my best to help you until someone from the support team is available.

Regarding your issue moving forms, templates, and apps to your new team workspaces, here’s how to do it properly and some tips to avoid errors:

    1. Move assets one at a time: Select the form or app on your My Workspace page, click Move to Team, choose the target team, and confirm the move.
    2. Check connected assets: Errors like "An error occurred while calculating connected assets" often happen if forms are connected to apps, workflows, or other Jotform products. You may need to disconnect these connections before moving.
    3. Ownership and permissions: Only team admins can move forms or apps to a team since it changes ownership. Ensure you have the right permissions.

If you want to move all forms connected to an app, disconnect them first, then move the forms, and reconnect after the move.

    Hi Mark,

The error happens when a form is linked to another asset, like an App or Approval Flow. To fix this, disconnect those links before migrating the form to a new team workspace. Reconnect them afterward. Migrating one form or app at a time can help avoid issues. Only team admins can transfer forms and apps, so ensure you have the right permissions.

Transferring Your Forms and Data to Another Account is easy. When you transfer a form, all its submission data moves with it, and the receiving account becomes the new owner. If you're using a custom URL, it’ll automatically update from https://form.jotform.com/{yourUsername}/{your-custom-url-slug} to https://form.jotform.com/{New_Owner_Username}/{your-custom-url-slug}. The transfer can’t be undone unless the new owner agrees to send the forms back. Now, let me show you how to do it:

    1. On your My Workspace page, click on your Avatar/Profile Image in the top-right corner of the screen.

    2. In the window that opens, click on Settings.

    6. In the window that opens, tick the box next to the name of the form you want to transfer.

    7. In the New Email Owner’s Email Address field, enter the email address of the account that you want the forms to be transferred to.

    8. Now, click on Transfer Form.

    1. While you are still on the Data page, click on the View Details button in the Pending Transfer section.

From that email, they can click on the View Transfer button, then click on Accept to complete the transfer. Check out the screencast below:

If that’s not exactly what you’re looking for, can you explain a bit more so I can help you better?
