Hello Jotform Support,
Is there any way to prevent Email form entry from a specific domain? I am not seeing any way to have Email data validation other than allowing or disallowing free domains.
Thank you

Hi John,
Thanks for reaching out to us for help. Currently, there's no option to disallow a specific email domain from submitting a form. As a workaround, you can set up a Show/Hide Field condition to hide the Submit button when a specific domain is entered into the Parent/Guardian Email Address field. It's really easy to do. Let me show you how:
- In Form Builder, click on Settings in the orange navigation bar at the top of your screen.
- Now, in the Conditions tab of the panel on the left, click on Add Condition and then select Show/Hide Field.
- Finally, set the condition like you see below and then click on Save at the bottom.
That's it. In my example, I used example.com as the domain, but you can enter the domain you want to disallow. Check out the screencast below to see my results:
While the feature you’re looking for isn’t currently available at Jotform right now, we've gone ahead and escalated your request to our Developers. Exactly when or if it's developed depends on their workload, how viable it is, and how many other users also request it. If there are any updates, we’ll circle back to this thread and let you know.
In the meantime, let us know if you have any more questions.

This sounds like it could be a good workaround. However, is there a way to provide them additional clarifying feedback as to what the issue is?

Hi John,
Could you clarify how you're currently providing the additional feedback about the issue? For example, are you displaying an error message when an email domain isn’t allowed? If yes, you can replicate that behavior using a Show/Hide Condition to display a warning message in the form using a Paragraph element.
Once we hear back from you, we'll be able to help you with this.

No, currently, there's no option to disallow a specific email domain from submitting a form as noted in the reply from Ruan. So there would be no direct way to provide an error message. I was asking how I might do that.
What I've done to provide more details for the submitter is use the Quote widget that I toggle to normally hidden but then Shows itself if the condition of entering a specific non-allowed domain is used. I "think" it works okay in conjunction with hiding the Submit button.

Hi John,
If you want the clarification to stand out more for the submitter, you can swap the Quote widget for a Paragraph element to display in the form. To add a Paragraph element to your Form is easy, let me help you:
1. In Form Builder, click on the left site on Add Element to open the menu.
2. Under basic elements, choose Paragraph and hover this to your Form.
3. Now, click on the Pencil icon to edit the message next right to the field.

Hi John,
We're glad to hear that you were able to accept the workaround provided by my colleague. Regarding your request to block specific email domains from submitting the form, this has already been escalated as a feature request.
While that isn’t currently available at Jotform right now, we've gone ahead and escalated your request to our Developers. Exactly when or if it's developed depends on their workload, how viable it is, and how many other users also request it. If there are any updates, we’ll circle back to this thread and let you know.
Reach out again if you have any other questions.
