Hi Candace,
Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. I'm an AI assistant. I'll do my best to help you until someone from the support team is available.
To add a PDF to your reply/autoresponder email, follow these steps:
- Go to Settings in Form Builder.
- Select Emails on the left panel and click the pencil icon to edit your autoresponder email.
- Go to the Advanced tab and enable the PDF attachment option.
- Click Save to apply changes.
This will attach the submission PDF to your autoresponder emails. If you want to include a PDF link instead, you can add the {pdf-link} tag in the email content.
Give it a try and let us know how it goes.
Best regards,
Jotform Support -

Hi Candace,
If you've already enabled the PDF attachment in the Advanced tab of your autoresponder email and it's still not working, please check the following:
- Ensure your PDF file size is under 5MB, as larger attachments may not be delivered.
- Try adding the {pdf-link} tag in the email content as an alternative to attaching the PDF directly.
- Verify your form's Privacy settings do not require login to access the PDF link.
If you are using a HIPAA account, note that PDF attachments are disabled by default and require additional settings.
Give these a try and see if it resolves the issue.
Best regards,

Hi Candace,
When I cloned and tested your form, everything worked the way it was supposed to. Take a look at the screenshot below to see my results:
Can you go ahead and try it again and let us know how it goes? If the same thing happens again, can you share with us the PDF you are trying to attach so we can test it? If you can take a screenshot of what’s happening, that'll help us to understand better what’s going on. Let me show you how to post a screenshot to our Help Center:
1. On the Help Center page, scroll down to the Your Answer section and click on the Image icon.
2. Drag and drop your image into the Upload box, or click on it and select your file.
3. Then, click on the Add button in the bottom-right corner of the window.
4. To resize it, click on your screenshot and then click on one of the boxes in the corners, and drag it inward.
5. Once you're finished, click on the Post Answer button at the bottom right of the Your Answer section.
