    Hi Ayman,

Unfortunately, it is not possible to disable other choices in multiple selection field. While the feature you’re looking for isn’t currently available, rest assured we’re always working to add new services and features to Jotform. I've gone ahead and escalated your request to our Developers. When or if it's implemented depends on their workload, how viable it is, and how many other users request it. If there are any updates, we’ll circle back to this thread and let you know.

Let us know if there’s anything else we can help you with.

    Hi Christine,

please be noted that i have found the feature as shown in the below screenshot, so you can choose one choice as an exclusive then all the other options will be disabled.

however, incase the respondent has selected this exclusive option accidentally, he will not be able to deselect this option and select the desired choices he want.

if this could be fixed by your Developers it will be a great useful feature.

in addition, it has been noticed that, if the Entry limits has been chosen with the exclusive choice, then all the question's choices become disabled without anyway to adjust/correct.

    Hi Ayman,

Based on your screenshot above, it appears that you already have set the entry limits of the Multiple Choice element to 2. Here's how this works:

Exclusive choice in Multiple Choice selection question Image 2 Screenshot 61 Can you confirm if you have achieved what you want to happen already? Regarding marking the choices, you can select options by default. Let me show you how to do this:

    1. In Form Builder, click on the Gear icon of the Multiple Choice element and from the Advanced tab, select your preferred options to be Selected by Default. Exclusive choice in Multiple Choice selection question Image 3 Screenshot 72

    Here's the result:

After we hear back from you, we'll be able to move forward with this.

    Hi Lorevie,

what i am looking to do is:

    • i need a multiple choice question with max. 2 choice (which i knew now how to do)
    • except, if choice (A) has been selected>>>> the remaining choices (B/C/D) to be disabled/hidden, so the respondent will not be able to chose more choices if he has select choice (A).

note: for disable option works,, but if (A) selected accidentally then it couldn't be corrected, you can try it (see the screenshot).

    thanks,

And it suppose to be achieve from here by hiding the remaining multiple choices if a specific choice has been selected, but instead it hid the whole question> without any option to correct the selected choice.

    Hello Ayman,

I have tested this on a sample form and if I understood it correctly, when they have selected A, they can no longer edit the other option that was made? : Exclusive choice in Multiple Choice selection question Image 1 Screenshot 20

If so, unfortunately, the conditions by default trigger when a set action is made. It doesn't follow any pattern, but rather which ever comes first to meet the condition will apply. If that’s not exactly what you’re looking for, can you explain a bit more so I can help you better?

Once we hear back from you, we'll be able to help you with this.

    Hello Ayman,

As mentioned by my colleague, Myla, the conditional logic on your form is being triggered when there's a set action made, and whichever condition is met first will be applied, which is why you can't correct it or reselect it. I saw that your requested feature has already been escalated to our developers team. Rest assured that we’ll get back to you with an update as soon as we have one.

We really appreciate your patience and understanding while we’re looking into this.
