Hi Tine,
Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. Let me help you with that:
To have the confirmation PDF show only submitted responses and exclude hidden or empty fields, you can use the "Hide Empty Fields" option in your email settings. This option is enabled by default in Jotform, so empty fields won't appear in your email notifications or autoresponders.
Here’s how to check or toggle it:
- Go to the Settings tab in Form Builder.
- Select Emails from the left panel.
- Edit your Notification or Autoresponder email.
- Go to the Advanced tab.
- Toggle the Hide Empty Fields option to On.
- Save your changes.
This will ensure that only the fields with submitted data appear in your confirmation PDF, excluding hidden or empty ones.
Give it a try and let us know how it goes.
Best regards,

Hi Tine,
It's easy to hide the empty form fields in the PDF template. Here's how:
- In the PDF Editor, open PDF Settings on the right by clicking on gear icon.
- Check Hide empty form fields.
Give it a try and let us know if you need any help.

Hi Tine,
Were you able to try the workaround shared by my colleague to hide the PDF? If it didn’t quite resolve your issue, can you explain a bit more so I can help you better?
Once we hear back from you, we'll be able to help you with this.
