    Hi Jim,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. I'm an AI assistant. I'll do my best to help you until someone from the support team is available.

To charge shipping for each product and add an incremental amount for additional products, you can use the Shipping tool in your form settings. It allows you to set a base shipping cost and add extra charges for each additional product, not just copies of the same product.

Let me walk you through it:

    1. Go to your form's Payment Settings.
    2. Select the Shipping option.
    3. Set the base shipping cost for the first product.
    4. Add an incremental shipping fee for each additional product.

This way, shipping charges will apply per product added to the order.

Give it a try and let us know how it goes.

    Best regards,
    Jotform Support

    Hi Jim,

Can you clarify what you mean by adding an incremental amount for each additional product added to the order? The shipping feature lets you add a shipping fee per product or per transaction. It's really easy to add a shipping fee for your products in Jotform, you just need to enable the Shipping feature. Let me help you with it:

    1. Open your form in Form Builder and select the Product List field.
    2. Click on the Wand icon on the right side of the field.
    3. In the menu on the right side of the page, under the Shipping tab, toggle the Enable Shipping option to the On position.
    4. Now, just choose a Charge Basis and define a Shipping Cost. That's it.

You can also select Per Transaction (Flat Rate) for a fixed fee. Check out the screencast below for an example that shows the Per Product Item option selected:

if i buy 1 item, ship is $5. every other item purchased is an INCREMENTAL
    of $2
based on actual.... every item is $5 (note ex 3 items, $15 ship)
ship for three items should be $9
    understand?

    Hi Jim,

I understand what you're trying to do now. The current shipping setup in Jotform does not support applying an incremental fee across different product types. When using Per Product Item, the system charges the full First Item Cost for each product, not per item added to the cart.

So for example, if shipping is set to $5 per product, and a user buys three different products, the total shipping will be $15, since each product is treated as its own first item. There isn’t a built-in setting that allows $5 for the first item and $2 for each additional regardless of product type. That’s why it’s working the way it is.

Here's a screencast of my workaround:

Add a shipping fee per product but incremental amount for each additional product added Image 1 Screenshot 30

If you're okay with requiring users to select the first product as their base item. Let me show you how to do that:

    1. Select the Product List field and click the Cart icon to open Product List Settings.
    2. Go to the Shipping tab.
    3. Enable the Shipping option.
    4. Set your Main product (Product Name 1) with a First Item Cost of $5. Set the other products' shipping to $2 for both First and Additional Item Cost.

This setup only works if you're guiding users to always start with the main product, treating it as the base for the shipping calculation.

Give it a try and let us know if you need help.

duh. Thanks for turning the light on.
Your answer/workaround is not at all acceptable...
i will look to other vendors/options.

    Hi Jim,

While the feature you're looking for isn't available at Jotform right now, we've gone ahead and escalated your request to our developers. Exactly when or if it's developed depends on their workload, how viable it is, and how many other users also request it. If there are any updates, we’ll circle back to this thread and let you know.

Can you also clarify what you meant by your last question? Can you tell us which page you're referring to that has multiple items?

Thanks for your patience and understanding, we appreciate it.
