Hi Ajay,
Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. To better assist you, could you provide more details on what exactly you are looking to modify? Are you aiming to manipulate the form fields themselves or the submissions (the data collected from the form)?
Additionally, it would be helpful if you could share your current workflow and explain the reason behind the modifications you want to make. This will allow us to offer you the best possible solution tailored to your needs.
Looking forward to your response.

My main goal is to remove all pricing information from the PDF document that is generated from the form submission.
The purpose of this is to use the Jotform PDF as a packing slip or a simple order confirmation for our customers.
I was originally exploring the API and webhooks to manipulate the data before the PDF is generated, but if there is a simpler way to achieve this, that would be ideal.
Can you please advise on the best way to accomplish this? Is there a setting in the Jotform PDF Editor where I can simply hide or remove the price column from the "Product List" field in the PDF template, without affecting the form itself?
If not, would it be possible to use a webhook to send the submission data to an external service that then generates a price-less PDF?
I look forward to your guidance on the most straightforward solution.
Thank you,
Ajay

Hi Ajay,
If your goal is to remove pricing from the PDF while keeping your form setup intact, the simplest solution is to customize the PDF template in the Jotform PDF Editor. You can go into the editor, click on the Product List field, and disable the display of item prices and totals. This allows you to generate clean packing slips or order confirmations without modifying the form itself or diving into API logic.
With Jotform's PDF Editor, you can easily add or edit form fields in the PDF files used for submissions. Any changes you make will be applied directly to the downloadable files. Let me show you how:
- In PDF Editor, click on the My Products field and select the Gear icon.
- In the menu on the right, go to Answer Style tab, scroll down and uncheck all unecessary details that you want to disable.
Using an API and webhook to manipulate the data before PDF generation is certainly possible, but it's a more advanced route. You’d be capturing the submission through a webhook, passing it to an external service that cleans the pricing data, and then generating the PDF there. It’s flexible, but unless you need custom logic, the built-in PDF Editor is much faster and easier to maintain.
Give it a try and let us know if you need any other help.

Hi Kyle, Thanks for the deeply explanation.
But still $0.00 pricer is there, and the total is showing at the bottom.
this stuff needs to be deleted as well. -

Hi Ajay,
If you are still opting to modify the PDF in the PDF Builder, note that the options are limited when it comes to hiding or removing such specific elements from the template. As previously mentioned here, granular control over the visibility of individual components, such as price, total, or payment method, within the Product List field is very limited. While you can hide certain information, some elements will still remain visible.
Regarding API usage, data manipulation is indeed possible, but it also comes with limitations when it comes to localized or highly specific modifications. If you require that level of customization, I recommend rebuilding the product section using standard form fields. Instead of the Product List element, manually create your item list using multiple Single Choice fields, Dropdowns, or a Configurable List, and then use a Paragraph Field to format the layout. This approach allows full control over the PDF output, so you can exclude pricing or payment sections if needed.
Let us know if you have any other questions.
